What is love? At the start of Enna Solla Pogirai, its three protagonists seem to have a very clear idea of what it is. For Vikram an RJ, it is seeing the right girl who ticks the checklist he has in his mind – Meanwhile, Preethi a theatre artist is confirmed that she can decide when she should fall in love.
These three personalities are got together when a match is arranged between Vikram and Anjali. She questions him about his prior connection. He lies about having had one. And when she expresses her interest in completing his ex, he ends up reaching Preethi to act as the girlfriend with whom he had broken up. In return, he decides to pose as her boyfriend so that she can stop her grandfather from bugging her to marry someone. Of course, we know they are going to end up dropping in love.
A Hariharan sets up the belief and the personalities quite confidently. The initial stages are breezy and the three performers, too, are appealing right from the start. Even if the concept isn’t unknown, there’s freshness in the way the scenes are written and staged. Assume for example the scene when Vikram narrates how he fell in love with Preethi.
