Indian 2 Upcoming Movie Tamil language action thriller movie directed by S. Shankar. It is the sequel to the 1996 film. It has produced by Allirajah Subaskaran. This movie script has written by S. Shankar and B.Jeyamohan. The movie starring is Kamal Haasan and Nedumudi Venu reprising their roles from the first film, while the new cast consists of Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Bobby Simha, Rakul Preet Singh, and Priya Bhavani Shankar. Music has composed by Anirudh Ravichander. For the first Nayanthara had been considered for the leading female role before Kajal Aggarwal has finalized. The highly anticipated sequel to Kamal Hassan’s 1996 movie had been in the producing for the last two years.
In 2014, an accident happened on the sets of the movie killing the 3 of the crew. In Feb 2020 three individuals people had killed and also nine were injured on the sets of Indian 2, after a crane on which they were sitting crashed to the ground. All three people who lost their lives were assistant directors of the film, which was being shot at EVP Film City, a private cinema studio, near Chennai. The three members had identified as Krishna (Assistant Director), Chandran (Art Assistant), and Madhu (Production Assistant). The film Director Shankar had a narrow escape, according to witnesses. The injured were hurried to the hospital and also provided help. Kamal Haasan, later on, donated Rs 1 crore to the family members.

Director Shankar is known to be working on two upcoming projects, RC 15 and Indian 2, which have created quite a stir among the industry and business circles. Both films are in production. While Indian 2 started much earlier than RC15, it encountered several roadblocks including the death of a team member in the sets and legal troubles for Kamal Haasan and Shankar.
