Nenjuku Needhi movie is a Tamil remake of the 2019 Hindi film Article 15, a crime drama movie. The film Nenjuku Needhi is directed by Arunraja Kamaraj and produced by Boney Kapoor. The stars cast includes Udhayanidhi Stalin, Tanya Ravichandran, Aari Arujunan and Shivani Rajsekhar. Udhayanidhi Stalin plays the lead role of Vijayaraghavan IPS initially done by Ayushman Khurrana in the Hindi version. The title Nenjuku Needhi, called after the autobiography of Udhayanidhi’s grandfather M. Karunanidhi, has announced in October 2021.
While the movie will hit the screens in May 2022 and has lived cleared by the Censor Board with a U/A certificate, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Udhay’s dad, MK Stalin watched the movie at a preview theater in Nungambakkam, Chennai. Recently, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu MK Stalin saw the movie Nenjuku Needhi at a private theater in Nungambakkam. After watching the movie, MK Stalin congratulated director Arunraja Kamaraj.
The trailer gives a glimpse into how Dalits have to endure brutal caste horrors. They are made to perform the last rites of their vacated members separately. They live also stripped naked and beaten profusely. The trailer shows how even with the passage of time, many people still observe the medieval biased practices based on caste.
In one scene of the trailer, two Dalit girls live found hanging from a tree. A doctor confirms that both girls lived sexually abused before their murder. What follows is the journey of IPS officer Vijayaraghavan, played by Udhayanidhi, to trace the offenders behind this crime.

The team has wrapped up the film and it’s in the post-production stage right now. Recently the moviemakers have to decide the movie release date details. The will be going released on 20 May 2022 grandly in theatres.
